Extended Day

After and Before School Provision

Breakfast Club

The school has its own breakfast club where children can be left supervised by staff from 7.45am every morning. A choice of cereals, toast and fruit juice are available followed by table top activities when breakfast is completed. There is a charge for breakfast club of £1.50 per morning and 75p for siblings. Payment is made via SIMS pay (Pay360).

Breakfast club is available to all children attending the school. Children can attend for one morning or five mornings a week or just on special occasions when they need to be left at school early.

Breakfast club takes place in the school hall and entry to the club is via the hall door in the car park.

After School Care

The school has after school provision from the end of the school day until 5:45pm, Monday to Friday. Our After School Care is intended to provide affordable child care for working parents and carers.

From Monday 11th of October 2021, children that are already registered for After School Care will need to pre-book for ASC. Please email asc@sm-sm.co.uk by 12.30pm on the Friday of the week before with details of the times and dates you require. This ensures that we know how many children are going to be attending at any one time and can adjust staff ratios accordingly.

We are not be able to allow you to “drop in” your child nor phone in during the day to request ASC. Any parent that does this because they have an unavoidable emergency will be charged an extra £5.00 for that day on top of the current fees.

Current fees per child are:
• 3.30pm – 4.30pm     £7.60
• 3.30pm – 5.00pm     £11.40
• 3.30pm – 5.30pm     £15.20
• 3.30pm – 5.45pm     £17.00

If you are a working parent and would like to register your child for ASC you will need to first complete an application form and then speak to Mrs Flannery to ensure availability and discuss fees and payments. Payment is made via SIMS pay (Pay360).

Extra – Curricula Activities (Busy Clubs)

The school has a wide range of out of school hours learning opportunities for children (OOSHL) in Key Stages 1 and 2. These vary from term to term and details are made available at the start of each term. There is a charge of £25.00 per term via SIMS pay (Pay360). The school has gained a Quality Assurance Award from the local authority for the range of OOSHL activities it provides. The OOSHL clubs run from 3.30pm – 4.30pm.
